Mother Nature can do some impressive things. This photograph is a good example of that.

This is a photograph made on the Fourth of July outside of Frisco, CO. The vantage point this photograph was made from is the same spot where I shoot the annual fireworks display of the City of Frisco.

As I was setting up for the evening festivities, a massive thunderstorm was building overhead. The mountains you see in this shot represent the Continental Divide. Not all storms make it over the Divide. As the weather system continued to build as it attempted to conquer the Divide, the system had generated some spectacular clouds.

This photograph serves as a reminder of how nasty Mother Nature can be. This storm eventually made it over the Divide and forced many in the Denver Metro area to alter their holiday plans as a result.

This photograph is part of a limited edition of 100. It is available for purchase here.
