This photo is of Sprague Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. Many people ask me why I choose to shoot mainly nature and wildlife. This photograph is a good example of why.
As the fall colors really came into their peak this past fall, I decided to wade out into the lake to get the reflection of the rock along with the stillness of the water. Yes, I was actually in the lake.
There is a majestic power about being in a setting like this. Where I do not know that a single photograph can do it justice, my hope was to try to capture some of that majesty in this shot.
Pretty easy to be a nature photographer when you have scenes like this in your backyard...
